U.S. News & World Report consistently ranks the college’s undergraduate international business program and its international MBA program among the top-10 in the nation.

The department’s faculty currently ranks No. 5 in the U.S. for the number of publications in the Journal of International Business Studies, the leading journal in the field (UTD Top 100 Business School Research Rankings™).

FIU Business was in the spotlight before the world’s leading scholars in international business in July 2022. The college served as the local host institution for the 2022 Annual Meeting of the Academy of International Business (AIB), which showcased the latest in international business research amidst scholarly discussions of key issues impacting global networks.

FIU strengthens international business education with grant renewal from U.S. Department of Education.
The U.S. Department of Education has renewed Florida International University’s Center for International Business Education and Research (CIBER) grant. Increased to $1.33 million, the grant will have a total impact of nearly $2.7 million with matching funds. The grant is one of just 16 CIBER grants awarded to leading universities across the country this year and, for the second time, the only one awarded in Florida.

A professional development trip to India yields rewards amidst challenges.
Since 2008, FIU’s Center for International Business Education and Research (CIBER) has sponsored a trip to India, bringing faculty to the nation’s top corporations and iconic historical sites and expanding its offerings through the years. When COVID-19 skuttled plans for the 2020 in-person program, known as Professional Development in International Business (PDIB), the center decided to create a virtual version of a journey as an educational opportunity.
